Diagnostic Services

This service complements other professional care activities. Specific hormone tests, imaging in pneumonia, arthritis, intra-abdominal injuries or diagnostic imaging in cardiology as echocardiograms or Dopplers are necessary to achieve correct diagnosis. We also offer the pacemaker control service at home or in outpatient institutions.

///////////////// MEDICAL IMAGING

- CONVENTIONAL AND DIGITAL RADIOLOGY:

Conventional and digital xray are very useful in chest illnesses. Digital xray has not only a far better definition but also can be sent without delay to anywhere through the web.

- ULTRASOUND:

They can be abdominal, thoracic, soft tissue, muscles or joints among other tissues. These studies can be done in the patient's home in order to ensure a quick and accurate diagnosis.

-ECHOCARDIOGRAMS AND CARDIAC DOPPLER ULTRASOUND:

These studies are useful to see cardiac cavities or to help doctors to diagnose heart failure or valvular diseases.

-VASCULAR ECODOPPLER:

This non-invasive tests can detect narrowing in carotid arteries in patients at risk for stroke or blood clots which can seriously compromise upper extremities or lower limbs blood circulation.

/////////////////HEART RATE STUDIES

-ELECTROCARDIOGRAMS:

EKGs record the electrical activity of the heart and provide information about the heart's function and structure. They can be made with or without a written report. In case of specific cardiology request, they can be part of a previous surgical risk evaluation held together with lab tests and chests x-ray.

-HOLTER EKG MONITORING:

With this non-invasive test, patients wear a portable monitor that shows the electrical activity of the heart (EKG) while staying home or other institutions.

-PACEMAKER'S CONTROL:

These tiny devices, implanted in a minimally invasive procedure, regulate the heart's rhythm through a series of electrical impulses in case of arrhythmias. Ongoing evaluation in their home or in outpatient institutions is offered for patients with pacemakers.

-PRESSUROMETRY OR PRESSURE HOLTER 24 HOURS:

This study provides important information for those patients suffering from unstable pressure measurements as well as from other cardiovascular pathologies.

/////////////////BIOCHEMICAL DETERMINATIONS

-These studies can range from basic determinations to hormonal, bone metabolism, vitamin, infectologic to autoimmune antibodies measurements.
